Thanks for the compliments, though. Including the downplaying of the role horrible relationships/breakups has had on my writing throughout the years.

Haps: Thanks for the warm fuzzies. The novel I finished in November won't see the light of day (maybe ever) but the next one might have some kick to it. I'll let you know. The Moon Toppleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12717446064777879248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33218373.post-55879841251471241822006-12-12T23:33:00.000-06:002006-12-12T23:33:00.000-06:00Hey Hey!

I'm hooked on your Blog. I enjoy your writing so much. I was always fascinated by your lyrics and now I'm really getting a kick out of both the choices of topics and the way you carry them out. I was out of town for a couple of weeks while you were writing about writing a novel and just haven't been able to go back through all the posts, but I'll be the first in line for any such novel you manage to finish.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33218373.post-56534661417122540002006-12-12T13:51:00.000-06:002006-12-12T13:51:00.000-06:00Sorry you're sick. What i do like about this post is that it conveys the sense of being on Nyquil with its slightly surreal edge and short clipped sentences.

This is all the more impressive because you probably did write it while you were on Nyquil. I'd imgaine that writing something that conveys the feeling of being on Nyquil but simultaneously reads well would paradoxically be more difficult to craft while you were in fact on Nyquil.

Perhaps you do have to suffer to create art. Some drink. Some enter hellish relationships followed by painful break-ups and divorces. You just contract serial flus. Again, bummer.

IanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
