Monday morning haiku: April 9th

Incongruity:
See the water crystallize
See him mow his lawn

Inspired by my drive into work this morning.

You had to work today? Don't you get Easter Monday off as a Stat in Chicago or do you get Good Friday? In England they get both, but in Scotland we only get Easter Monday. Hey, I'll take what I can get.

Dear Mr. Monn Tippley,

I think you have captured this crazy day quite well - -the first day of spring (well, post Easter) and yet freezing temps and snow flurries. I think you are a very talented fellow, a refreshingly good haikuist. Tell me, though, how tall are you?

Chris: We get neither day off of work. (sigh)

GT: Thank you and I hope you learn my name soon.

Nice.

I love the word "crystallize." It's almost onomatapoeic.

I agree with heartinsanfrancisco.

The word crystallize adds on dimension to your portable haiku. It sparkles! :-)

Wow your people are slave driver's, working both sides of a holiday, good job you're leaving in FOUR days time ( ;

I like the haiku, maybe you could do a whole Incongruity series.

HinSF: I like that word, too...

Susan: Thanks. It is portable, isn't it?

Verilyon: We shall see. I'm not a big fan of doing theme work, but it's a nice way to fill up a first line, huh?

Or it could be a theme for an upcoming competition... Not that I'm thinking about it or planning anything...
