Oh, look, she creeping over

a pome on my one (1) female cat

Oh, look, she creeping over
with husky, noisy throat
no red but still she ginger
no dense and so she float.

My frowny sounds astound her
of tossy, turny bed
she skitter out of earshot
to eat a book instead.

Your cat is talented - please tell her from me to keep writing.

Is this the first day of the rest of your life, so to speak? Congratulations! (if so)

My cat he singing up a storm
of wind and rain and hail
call a lady to his lust
with sexy catty wail

She no come to fill his need
her think him quite a bore
and leave him on his lonely wall
to find the tom next door

My cat...

oh wait, I don't have a cat because my landlord hates them. Hmm. Your cat sounds like an insomniac.

Seems I need to clarify. My cat did not write this pome. The lead-in should have read "on" rather than "of."

Correcting that now...

RTS: Soon, soon. They keep delaying the rest of my life. I shall apply your congratulations at the appropriate time.

Minx: Are you hitting on my cat? Spayed, I'm afraid.

Liz: She does indeed, but that's really my affliction.

I love the last line!

I saw your post on guilty without explanation and thought I should see what you were up to.

Sadly, I was not born with the poetry gene. Sing me a song? I get it. But... It's a rare disability but one none the less.

I like this Moon Tickley. It is fun and lyrical and fast.

Your poems are wonderful, Mr. T. However, I am glad your cat did not write this, for that would be too depressing, in comparison.

Leesa: Thanks. True story, sadly.

Open Grove Claudia: Welcome! I'm not quite as talented as HinSF, but I hope you've enjoyed stopping by anyway.

GT: Yeah, I kind of like this one, too. Good thing, since for some reason not writing it was keeping me awake. I agree it'd be depressing if written by an actualy cat.

It's rather Jabberwokian, old son. Hats off to you, sir. A fine effort.

That made me giggle with recognition and delight.

Gorgeous gorgeous. I read it out loud to Muffin.

Sundry: Thanks much. Jabberwocky wasn't in my mind, but it's a flattering comparison, so I'll take it.

Zinnia: Glad to make you giggle.

Shameless: Well? What did Muffin think?
