Monday morning haiku - August 6

If prince were pauper,
would Cinderella love him?
My guess would be "no."

If prince were pauper,
with a pure heart full of gold,
that would be enough!

Call Kanye West! Not another gold digger?

Uh oh, another disillusionment?

Well, don't forget that Cinderella had such tiny feet that she couldn't stand upright unsupported.

Great haiku. It made me laugh aloud, thus disturbing a sleeping cat who should have been let lie.

Great poem, but surely if pauper had a warm side shown quickly enough she would have not passed him up. I hope.

Ok.

It really is a good haiku... but, umm... wasn't Cinderella USED to being in rags? Wasn't she a servant with a humble and sweet heart? A child of tragedy and circumstance?

Sorry Mr. Moon, I have to stick with the fantasy here, there's just no romance in her being a gold digger. I'm a hopeless romantic, there's just no getting around it.
I have rarely stopped to take off my rose colored glasses; much to the detriment of my heart and ideals.
Reality doesn't appeal much to my dreamy side... and that's where she lives in my mind.
