A favorite recent picture of the skyline.

This city, she glow.

The gold tones of this photo make it really interesting.

Yes, she do glow—and appears to be much alive.

Oh I do like that and the two levels, the still and hulking city and the movement below... all twinkly, but kind of ominous... just ignore me.

What a beautiful shot. I can't wait to come home in a week. That's the Dan Ryan below you? Free from road construction? Hmm...

The building to the right of the Sears Tower with the turret, for years my family had me believing it was the White Castle headquarters.

Marcia: Yeah. I normally avoid the sepia look, but this one was sort of a dud in BW. Sepia really makes something new out of it.

SS Nick: She glow, she sparkle, she live. All true.

Sognatrice: I wish I could take credit for the prettiness. Glad you like the image, though.

Ver: I shall not ignore you, and I don't think you're incorrect in seeing some darkness as amid the beauty.

Scarlett: Thanya.

Liz: Location, location, location. The Dan Ryan is only under construction to the south of where I was standing. But pretty much all of the south. As to the White Castle headquarters, I think that's lovely. And so perfectly apt now that I look at the building and picture their logo.
