Year One concludes
One year ago today I started to look into the possibility of having a blog of my own. Something like 90 minutes later, although I thought I was still just researching the idea, I made my first post to this page, and sent an email to a few friends letting them know I had started a blog.
It was easy. Accidental, even.
Even though I had made the decision to pursue writing on my birthday nearly two months earlier, it was the launch of the blog that started to solidify this idea in my head. Here I had the ability to write about whatever I wanted, with the added incentive of maybe being read by a person or two.
While I have not lived up to my original intent of writing here every day (especially this summer), this blog has become an extremely important outlet for me, housing many words and images that otherwise would have had no real place to go.
And through it I have gradually met a lot of interesting people from around the world. Not bad for something that I thought initially might be a good way for me to waste time and make a few of my friends chuckle from time to time.
In honor of my bloggiversary, I thought I might bake a cake, but then I thought about the image of a man sitting alone in his apartment, maybe wearing a pointy hat, eating an entire cake by himself. It was not a good image for me. So e-cake instead for all the Blogreaders who have helped to make this first year of The Moon Topples a success. Thanks muchly.

Happy Blobday, Moonpie.
Happy Birthday to your Blog!
hmm, so with a blog, it is both a birthday, and an anniversary.
Happy blogirthday bloggiversary.
Now since it is both, you do have to at least buy yourself a slice of cake, or eat a cupcake, or a stick of gum, or something, that is what holidays and marking time passing, et cetera, are all about, excuses to eat desserts. Maybe being a man, you don't know this, that is why I am telling you.
(hhmmm... I sound like a sugar pusher)
anyway, there is nothing sad about a man who can bake. (my inability to bake, now that is sad)
hmmm. e-cake has fewer calories, but is so much less satisfying.
Happy Blogoversary.
I heart blogging too.
congratulations my friend.

Happy Blogiversary. Instead of a cake would you like a bonkers kitten? He doubles up as an excellent duster.
Only one year old? Congratulations on reaching such a noteworthy milestone and thank you right back at you for taking the time to write what you do.
Happy Blogger Birthday! Here's to another year of blogging happily and happy blogging.
(My blogger birthday came and went and I didn't even notice... oh dear.)
Yum!
Thanks Maht. Happy birthday. House of Pants turned 1 on 17th August so I we know what a landmark it is here in the emporium of broken resolutions (writing a post every day lasted about four months). Still, I notice there's been forward movement on your other writing projects. It's all good.

may you have another great blogging year! :)
A very happy bloggiversary. Wishing you many more...
Nice e-cake, too.
Happy blogday! Thanks for the cake :-)
But Mr. Moon, baking a cake and eating it all by yourself is nice too. And pointy hat - oh yes. Then take a photo of yourself wearing it and eating cake - just for us. (and what flavour is the e-cake?)
Happy blog birthday! I would have prefered a real cake, though.
Happy birthblog. In Cyberspace you can have your cake and virtually eat it. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate button topping....
Happy blogiversary!
I'm up for the cake, Moon! Well done and I look forward to more of your delightful posts. :)
one year is a frilling long time! hope the next one is more fun
! cheers!
