Unshackled, for now...
I finally finished the textbook on which I've been working since I got back from London. Nothing like a 14-hour marathon work session to test whether I'm still sick or not. I think I'm not, but I suppose tomorrow morning will tell me for sure. I still have a cough and stuff, but I think it's just the lingering cough I always get when I get sick in autumn. Probably a touch of bronchitis or something.
I am oh-so-very glad this project is gone. It was one of the most boring things I've had to work on in a long, long time. This book was 364 pages. Bully-Proofing Your High School. Seriously. It didn't pay very well, but it should keep me in cigarettes, coffee and pens for a while.
So now I am completely off work for a few weeks and can concentrate on NaNoWriMo. I should have an official word count up starting Monday night. If I can write 10,000 words or so, I'll be back on target. No problem!
(Laughs nervously, begins coughing.)
Oh, and a slightly belated happy Guy Fawkes Day for any English folk who might stop by. Or a somber Guy Fawkes Day. I'm not sure of the proper way to mark Parliament nearly getting blown up. I suppose you're only required to remember (remember) the fifth of November.

You're gonna need to make up your mind, David/Fred/Anonymous/Unsubscriber. Not only do you post under a variety of names, but this morning you're calling me "Monkey Boy," which you called yourself on Friday.
And it isn't necessary to actually create a new blog in order to get a screen name on here. Although they are free, so I guess why not.
A lot of words indeed. Better get to it.
