The old man laughs, though
nothing in his countenance
would suggest humor

Thanks Minty and Minx. I never know what will hit, and getting such feedback from two very diverse folk such as you two means a lot.

Liz: All my stuff is at least basically copyrighted under my Creative Commons license. I can't imagine anyone is going to steal this.

HinSF: Glad you're intrigued. I skipped a couple weeks there (the funeral, and I can't remember why last week) but I never intended to discontinue the practice. It's a good little exercise for me. I usually write them in my head while smoking my first cigarette of the week at work.
